Ochre Ribbon Day- 12th-19th February
Ochre Ribbon Day is held on the start of the Ochre Ribbon Week campaign, 12th to the 19th of February. The Ochre Ribbon campaign is a community driven initiative highlighting the need to stop violence against men, women and children in Indigenous communities.
February 12 has been identified as the Ochre Ribbon Day, and this day will be commemorated from 2016. Various stakeholders in this campaign, including the National Family Violence Legal Prevention Services Forum, support the Ochre Ribbon campaign. Prevention is the key to ensuring safety for our children and their mothers, for keep families connected and protecting our culture.
