I completed my placement at Kempsey Families, and I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic journey. From day one, I felt welcomed and valued as part of the team. I’ve started a new position since my placement. It’s definitely not the caseworker, supportive position I thought I would go into, but it’s going OK. Now I’ve finished my Diploma of Community Services I’ve started further study into Domestic and Family Violence and also Mental Health. So keeping busy and hoping it will help to change roles in the future. I still miss being at Kempsey Families doing my placement and miss interacting at playgroup with the other Mums.
