Coordinator Fixed Address

Kempsey Families Inc. (KF Inc.) is a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of specialist services for women, children, young people, families /caregivers and men.

Kempsey Families Inc. is the lead organisation for Fixed Address. The program is in partnership with Warrina Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Cooperative and Port Macquarie Hastings Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Service, known as the Mid North Coast Consortium (MNCC). The MNCC has partnered with Community Housing Limited (CHL) for this project.

About the Position

Fixed Address is a project funded by Women NSW through the Innovation Funding Round Two. The project is a targeted program for men who have used domestic or family violence in their present or past relationships. These men will be, or are at risk of exclusion from the family home due to their violence. The Fixed Address coordinator will supervise the support that the case workers (3) will provide including initial intensive case management to meet the complex identified needs of these men. Fixed Address will support men who have used abusive and controlling behaviours towards their partners or family members to seek ways to change their behaviour and keep women and children safe in the process. The coordinator will work closely with the Men’s Behaviour Change team in this role.

The Fixed Address program will be delivered in Kempsey, Nambucca Valley, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.

  • Grade will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.
  • Under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 it is a requirement prior to employment to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of the Fixed Address Program for the Mid North Coast Consortium (MNCC)
  • Coordinate the nomination and uptake of client tenancies with Community Housing Limited (CHL)
  • Manage quality assurance for the program ensuring all reporting requirements are met and achieved
  • Regularly communicate with the Fixed Address team and Consortia Management on matters including quality assurance and program outcomes guided by the set requirements’
  • Promote continuous improvement through the development of an innovative and new model of working with men who use violence in their past or present relationships.
  • Represent the MNCC at relevant forums and conferences
